Containing a variety of functions, such as debris screening machinery, chemical treatment equipment, and office space, Saddle Creek RTB is a balancing act of scale and material articulated via intentional contrast. A mass clad in black anodized metal with a tight reveal pattern slips beneath a larger mass wrapped in white precast concrete panels with a large joint pattern. Clear-glazed curtainwall ribbon separates the two, providing daylight and offering unobstructed floor-to-ceiling views of newly landscaped waterways when appropriate while views of equipment within are obstructed by perforated screens. The end result is a sophisticated enclosure for a utilitarian purpose.

Located at the confluence of the Little Papillion Creek and an East Omaha storm waterway, this building manages, screens, and treats city stormwater before reintroducing it back into the creek. The below-grade infrastructure, mainly drainage channels and limited access, is approximately 250% larger than the building footprint.
