The Aksarben Senior Living Center was designed to meet the needs of a variety of residents, from those with mobility concerns to those with cognitive impairment. The design includes settings that encourage exploration, movement and social interaction, all vital to maintaining good health and quality of life. The team combined features of a modern home with the necessary elements of an assisted care facility to create an aesthetically appealing, supportive environment that was as comfortable for visitors as it is for the residents. High contrast colors and textures including cool white walls paired with warm wood ceilings create visual interest while helping visually impaired residents.
